Bilaspur . A case of irregularity in checking of answer sheets in the NEET exam conducted for admission in medical college has come to light. On the petition of the student, the High Court has directed the state government to clarify the situation. The next hearing in the case will be held after two weeks.
A student resident of Nirala Nagar, Bilaspur, appeared for the NEET exam held on 5 May 2024. After the result was declared, she got the OMR sheet out after getting low marks. In this, the student was not given marks for one correct question. At the same time, minus marks were given on two questions. Regarding which she filed a petition in the High Court. In which it is told that minus marking has been done for the wrong answer of the student to two questions. But no marks were given for one correct question.
The student’s petition was heard on Friday in the division bench of Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha and Justice Sachin Singh Rajput. During the hearing, the government told the court that there are minus marks in questions number 24, 34 and 116. Question number 141 was not read by the computer. On the government’s reply, the petitioner said that the correct answer to the said question has been given. If marks are given in it, the student’s marks will increase. The court has given time for the reply and has scheduled the hearing of the case after two weeks.
