Gariaband. The Naxalite killed in the encounter between police and Naxalites in the forest of village Semra on the border of Dhamtari and Gariaband districts has been identified as Mangal Madakam alias AshokAfter the encounter, the soldiers recovered Naxalite literature along with the dead body of the Naxalite from the spot. Naxalite Mangal Madakam alias Ashok is a resident of village Karka under Gangalur police station of Bijapur district, who had a reward of Rs 5 lakh on his head. Mangal Madkam was the gunman and area committee member of the banned organization CPI Maoist CCM Ganesh Uike.
