Jagdalpur. The slow pace at which Chhattisgarh was moving on the Naxal front for years has been increased by Union Home Minister Amit Shah with the BJP government in the state. 146 Naxalites have been killed in the last 8 months. At the same time, 32 new security camps have been opened in Naxal-affected areas. After the review meeting on Naxal operation and Naxal problem solution during Shah’s three-day Chhattisgarh tour, Naxal operation is expected to gain more momentum. In the coming days, the police will work with new enthusiasm to jointly surround the Maoists on the inter-state borders, capture and arrest big senior leaders. In the inter-state coordination meeting organized in Chhattisgarh, apart from the Chief Secretaries and Directors General of Police of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra, top security officials of the Central Government will also be present. After the successes achieved by Chhattisgarh in anti-naxal operations in the last 6 to 7 months, the Center wants to increase this pace further. During this time, many important confidential documents have been recovered by the NIA from the hideouts of top Maoist leaders in the Andhra region bordering Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Telangana and Odisha, which is providing an opportunity to rein in the urban network.
A strategy will be prepared to put all-round pressure on the Maoists
During the review, a strategy will be prepared to put pressure on the Maoists from all sides. Special emphasis will be laid on joint operations on inter-state borders. If we notice, out of the 146 Naxalites killed in Chhattisgarh in the last 8 months, most have been killed on the border with Maharashtra near Kanker Narayanpur, where the Maoists have considered themselves very safe. The police is preparing to work on this strategy in the future as well.
Preparations to open 29 new camps
According to the information, the Chhattisgarh government will place the demand for deployment of additional paramilitary forces, facilities and resources at new posts in front of the Union Home Minister along with the successes achieved on the Naxal front. At present, preparations are being made to open 29 new camps in Naxal-affected areas, among which South Bastar is the main priority of the government. The main reason for this is that this area is the center of the revenue model of Naxalites, opening which will benefit the police and mining activities will also accelerate.
All police stations and camps are on alert mode
Psychologically, this will also help the police in breaking the dominance of the Maoists in this area, because so far the most violent and big attacks in the country have taken place in this area, where the police has suffered the most losses. On the other hand, all the police stations and camps in Bastar have been put on alert mode to prevent any kind of incident or encounter during the visit of the Union Home Minister.
