Narayanpur 29 May 2020.Revenue and Disaster Management has started preparations keeping in mind the South-West Monsoon 2020. Collector Mr. Abhijeet Singh reviewed the preparedness of disaster management today. Collector Shri Singh said that preparations for relief camps should be made before the monsoon in flood prone areas and risk areas. Special monitoring should be done in these areas during monsoon. Along with this, an action plan should be made to identify the disabled persons of the area and help them in the event of flood. He said that crops have been planted on agricultural land near the river-drains and that the damage due to excess rain or flood etc. should be accurately assessed. So that action can be taken to provide financial assistance to the affected farmers or other affected persons as per rules.
Collector Mr. Abhijeet Singh also instructed to practice mock drill flood disaster management. The people should also be informed about the measures to be taken to protect them in flood situations. Care should be taken that the number of control rooms and nodal officers should be with the government staff working in common citizens and rural areas. So that they can give information related to excess rainfall and flood in the control room.
In case of extreme rains and floods during monsoon in the district, Divyang, Burjug, sick, pregnant women and children should be taken to safe place and take care of them. Special measures should be taken for flood management in urban areas also. He also instructed to make preparations for communication and electrical system. Said to maintain pure drinking water and health system. Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Mr. Prem Kumar Patel, SDM Mr. Dinesh Kumar Nag, Deputy Collector Sarv Dhanraj Markam, Fagesh Sinha, Ms. Nidhi Sahu, besides officials of Revenue and other departments were present in the meeting.
