Mungeli 02 March 2021. Collector . S. Elma, during his visit today , reached the village Khaiha of Mungeli, the development block of the district, and by putting a chaupal in the cantonment of Babool, he got information from the villagers about the welfare schemes run by the state government. On the occasion, Collector Mr. Elma said that many public welfare schemes are being run by the state government for the upliftment of the villagers. He talked about taking benefits of government schemes and adding them to the mainstream of development. ChaupalHe informed the villagers about the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana and said that last year, the farmers have been given bonus amount in three installments for selling paddy in the Paddy Procurement Centers. There is talk of early payment of the last installment. On this occasion he availability of food at fixed prices under the chief food aid plan to the villagers , the road to the village , electricity , drinking water ,Information was also received regarding school buildings etc. In the same context, he said that in relation to the Godhan Nyaya Yojana under Suraji village scheme, cow dung is being purchased at a rate of two rupees per kg through Gothan from cattle rearers. Vermi compost fertilizer is being manufactured by the women of self-help groups from cow dung and the product manufactured by them is being purchased at a fixed rate. For this, they increase women’s self-help groups – to take active part elsewhere. On this occasion, women of self-help groups demanded fish farming in the lake located in the village and installation of solar irrigation pumps under the Solar Sujala Yojana. The Collector took their demands seriously and assured them to take necessary action. On this occasion, Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat, Mr. Rohit Beas ,A large number of rural people were present including Mr. DK Beauhar , Deputy Director of Agriculture Department, Mr. ML Mahadeva , Chief Functional Officer of District Panchayat Mungeli and Officer of Fisheries Department.
