Raipur. BJP candidate from Patan assembly seat in Chhattisgarh, Vijay Baghel has again complained against former CM Bhupesh Baghel for violating the code of conduct. He has demanded the Election Commission to re-investigate the case of code of conduct violation and if found guilty, immediate action should be taken against former CM Bhupesh Baghel and his candidature should be cancelled.
Let us tell you that Vijay Baghel had earlier written a letter to the Election Commission accusing CM Bhupesh Baghel of violating the code of conduct in Patan Legislative Assembly. After which the Election Commission, after investigating the matter, had said that Bhupesh Baghel has violated the Model Code of Conduct in any way. Not satisfied with the investigation, Vijay Baghel complained about this in the Delhi High Court, after which the Delhi High Court directed him to file a complaint once again with evidence. In this connection, today Vijay Baghel again reached the Chief Election Office in Raipur to lodge a written complaint. Got the video examined by the team of special officer – MP Vijay Baghel.
In the complaint letter submitted to the election officer on Tuesday, Vijay Baghel said, “A video and two photos are attached with the application, in which there is a recording of the road show of Congress candidate former CM Bhupesh Baghel on November 16.” In which it can be seen that Congress workers are seen wearing T-shirts with the Congress party symbol along with loudspeakers and musical instruments. No investigation has been done by the fort official in this regard. In relation to the said video, an investigation should be conducted by the team of a special officer. After observing the order of Delhi High Court, instead of the officials of Durg District Administration, get the video examined by a senior officer of your office and take the trouble to give orders and register a crime against the persons seen in the video. It is noteworthy that earlier Vijay Baghel had In the complaint letter submitted to the Election Commission, it was said that there was a ban on organizing election campaign meetings, rallies etc. on 15 November 2023. But violating this provision, a rally and road show was organized on 16 November. Photos and videos of this rally are available. It is clearly visible in this photo and video that the rally is being organized by Bhupesh Baghel. Government employees and police officers are also involved in this. Congress workers are raising slogans in favor of Bhupesh Baghel.
Vijay Baghel demands cancellation of former CM’s candidature
After complaining to the Election Commission, Vijay Baghel had given a statement in the media that while holding the post of Chief Minister, Bhupesh Baghel had violated the code of conduct. Our demand is that his candidature should be canceled and he should be sentenced to two years imprisonment. Our demand is that the Election Commission should take immediate action in this matter, if the Election Commission does not take any action in this matter then we will go to court.
