More than 23 lakh voters in Raipur Lok Sabha: Number of female voters is more than male voters, 50 thousand voters will vote for the first time.

Raipur Collector Gaurav Kumar Singh held a press conference on Sunday regarding Raipur Lok Sabha elections. He told that there are total 9 assembly constituencies under Raipur Lok Sabha constituency. This time there are 23 lakh 63 thousand 691 voters in Raipur Lok Sabha seat.

In Raipur Lok Sabha seat, the number of female voters is more than male voters. The number of male voters in Raipur is 11 lakh 81 thousand 135 male voters and 11 lakh 82 thousand 251 female voters. Similarly, third gender voters are 305.

Raipur Collector said that there are 2383 polling stations of Raipur Lok Sabha. Of these, the number of urban polling stations is 1231 and the number of rural polling stations is 1156.

For the first time the number of voters exceeds 50 thousand

This time the number of voters who voted for the first time in the Lok Sabha elections is 50483. The number of voters above 50 years of age is 11420 and the number of disabled voters is 17281, while the number of service voters in Raipur Lok Sabha seat is 640.

Notification will be issued on April 12

  • Nomination review date: April 20
  • The date for withdrawal of names of candidates is 22 April.
  • Voting date 7th May
  • The date of counting of votes has been set for June 4.

Campaign will be run to make voters aware

Raipur Collector said that we are organizing programs for awareness in the assembly seats where voting has reduced.

Our efforts will be the same where last time there was less voting. People will be made aware there. And by selecting specific areas, voter awareness program will be run on a large scale there. For this, we will run awareness programs through schools and NGOs.
