There is no dry land to sit on, water pouring from the sky and no grain to eat, can anyone live in such a condition, probably not, but more than a hundred cows were kept like this for three days. The whole matter is of village Ninwa of Tilda tehsil. Here, under Roka Chheka, the sarpanch and farmers kept more than a hundred cows with everyone’s consent to protect the crops from the cows. When the administration got the news, all the cows were freed.
When Sudhir Nayak, a member of Shriram Gauseva Sangathan, saw the cattle in this condition, he shared its video and informed Tilda SDM Prakash Tandon. The SDM took immediate action and sent a team of veterinarians to Ninwa. The team of veterinarians saw the cattle in this condition and informed the SDM. After this, all the cattle were released from there and the owners of the cattle were asked to keep their cattle at home.
In this regard, Sarpanch representative Lakshmi Verma said that it was decided that the farmers would provide food and water to the cattle at the rate of Rs 50 per acre and the cattle were kept but no one gave money and they gave as much fodder to the cattle as they could.
Here SDM Prakash Tandon said that the villagers had kept the cows under their own arrangement. On receiving the information, a team of veterinary doctors was sent and the cows were freed from there. The veterinary doctor said that the cows were in muddy water, there was no fodder, however the cows were found healthy. All the cow owners have been asked to take care of their cows themselves. Now the question arises that if something untoward happens due to the way more than a hundred cows were kept, then who would be responsible for it and should cows be kept like this?
