Congress will contest elections in Chhattisgarh on the face of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. This is what the senior state minister TS Singhdev has to say, he said that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will lead the coming assembly elections and voters will see who is the best among other parties like Congress, BJP, AAP, Jogi Congress and NCP.

TS Singhdev said that no face is visible in BJP at this time. Whereas earlier it was being said that Raman Singh is an established face for BJP and Congress has no face. But the voters trusted the Congress and won with a huge majority. But now it’s the other way around, Charandas Mahant, Tamradhwaj Sahu, Bhupesh Baghel and TS Singhdev were in the race for the post of CM after the victory of the Congress in the 2018 elections. All of them had also met Rahul Gandhi.
Has the tussle between CM Bhupesh Baghel and TS Singhdev reduced before the elections?

It was only after the victory of the Congress in the 2018 elections that four big faces emerged as Chief Ministers. In which Bhupesh Baghel, TS Singhdev, Charandas Mahant and Tamradhwaj Sahu were in the race for the post of CM. But Bhupesh Baghel prevailed over all this and he got the post of CM.

After Bhupesh Baghel became the Chief Minister, the tussle for the CM’s chair did not end here. In fact, it was said at that time that the Congress would bring a two-and-a-half-year formula in Chhattisgarh. Meanwhile, TS Singhdev had publicly expressed his desire for the Chief Minister’s post at many places and continued to do so till the completion of four and a half years of the government. Various discussions and statements went on. After two and a half years, the government has been in office for four and a half years, even though there was no change in Chhattisgarh regarding the Chief Minister’s post, but the political upheaval, the race between ministers and MLAs for Delhi continued to make headlines.

The news of tussle between Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and TS Singhdev continued to surface. On the other hand, the resignation of Minister TS Singhdev from the Panchayat Department further confirmed that the relationship between the two is not the same as before. But this statement of TS Singhdev before the election seems that the ice between the relations between the two has started melting after all these years. Why is the face of CM Bhupesh Baghel a challenge for the BJP?

1- CM Bhupesh Baghel has become a brand in Chhattisgarh by the name of ‘Kaka’. The increasing popularity of CM Bhupesh is a big challenge for the BJP.

2- After forming the government in the year 2018, the Congress promoted itself as Chhattisgarh government. In the last few years, Chhattisgarhiism, which has developed in the state, can become a big challenge in the upcoming elections.

3- At present OBC politics is going on in the country. Presently, Congress has the biggest face of OBC leader in the country in the form of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and BJP has not been able to find a solution to this face till then.

4- After the assembly elections of 2018, the five by-elections held in the state, the election of mayor and president in the urban body, the election of the district panchayat president, the victory has been achieved on the face of CM Bhupesh Baghel.

5- As soon as he became the Chief Minister, due to many other schemes like loan waiver of farmers, support price on paddy, purchase of gopal and cow urine, Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana and Bhumihin Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana, the Congress called the government of Chhattisgarh as the government of farmers across the country. And the face of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel was brought to the fore in the form of a farmer’s son.
