Raipur. Chhattisgarh Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, in view of the urban body elections, has taken a dig at the tremendous discontent among Congress workers, the confusion in the leadership and the rebellion due to nepotism, and said that only nepotism and money are running in the Congress. There is a lot of anger against the current mayor candidates of the Congress.
Health Minister Shyambihari Jaiswal took a jibe at the Congress and said that nepotism has become so dominant in the Congress that earlier Pramod Dubey was the mayor and chairman of the capital Raipur and now his wife Deepti Dubey has been made the mayor candidate. Similarly, earlier Kiranmayi Nayak was the mayor and now her brother-in-law Pramod Nayak has been given the ticket from Bilaspur. Outgoing mayor Ejaz Dhebar and his wife have been made candidates from different wards. Earlier Kanchan Jaiswal, wife of former MLA Vinay Jaiswal from Chirmiri, was the mayor and now Vinay Jaiswal is the mayor candidate.
In the context of the reports of turmoil, discontent and rebellion over the Congress candidate declared for the post of Mayor in Chirmiri, Health Minister Jaiswal said that this is not only the case in Chirmiri, but the same situation prevails in the entire state, which clearly shows that the condition of Congress has become pathetic politically and Congress is being crushed under its own burden. Shri Jaiswal said that Vinay Jaiswal, who has been made the Mayor candidate from Chirmiri, is the same former MLA who, after the results of the last assembly elections, had disclosed giving Rs. 7 lakh to his own party’s central leader Chandan Yadav and had accused his party of buying and selling tickets. Jaiswal was expelled after this disclosure.
Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal further said that now Vinay Jaiswal should tell that for how much money his expulsion was cancelled and for how much money did he get the ticket? Vinay Jaiswal proved to be a complete failure as an MLA in the previous Congress government, that is why he was not given a ticket in the assembly elections and now he has been given the mayor’s ticket by paying a huge amount. The public knows this very well that such people who do politics on the basis of money can never be public servants. There is a lot of resentment among the Congress workers and officials regarding Vinay Jaiswal and many people of Congress have even announced boycott of elections. Many people have also left the party. The condition of Congress is the same everywhere in the state. That is why Congress is going through a phase of delirium and the situation is making it clear that Congress is going to lose the elections by a huge margin everywhere.
