Medicines worth 2 lakhs seized from a quack doctor’s clinic, medicines were stored without a drug license

Raipur. The Food and Drug Administration Department has taken action against a quack doctor for keeping a large quantity of medicines without any drug license. Medicines worth Rs 2 lakh have been seized from the doctor’s pharmacy.

The Food and Drug Administration team seized a large quantity of allopathic medicines from the possession of quack doctor Mukund Meshram at Meshram dispensary in Veergaon. The accused had stored a large quantity of allopathic medicines in the dispensary without any drug license.

This includes painkillers, higher antibiotics and medicines used for abortion. The team has collected samples of medicines for testing. The cost of the seized medicines is about Rs 2 lakh. Further investigation is being done in the case.
