This region is still dependent on the rural economy. For the first time, two CPI (M) councilors have come from this region, after which the urge for development has increased. While taking support from the CPI (M), the Congress has promised to develop the region. Recently, a CPI (M) delegation has submitted pressure to solve the public problems by submitting a memorandum to the Mayor and also demanded allocation of funds for it in the corporation’s budget. After this, a joint meeting of the leaders of both the parties has already taken place.

In the Banki Mongra tour, the Mayor was accompanied by CPI (M) District Secretary Prashant Jha, both women councilors of the CPI-M, Princess Kanwar and Surti Kuldeep, local CPI (M) leaders Janakdas Kuldeep, Hussain Ali, Ramesh Sharma, Jawahar Singh Kanwar etc. The Mayor has assured to construct a well-equipped garden at Banki Mongra soon, renovate the main market road of Banki Mongra and install street lights, guthan in Banki zone, cleanliness of all the wards of the zone soon. The CPI (M) has also demanded the Mayor to complete the work of drain construction and tap-water scheme in the wards soon.
