On 24th, many workers got burnt due to hot ashes in Vandana Global under Siltara industrial area located in Dharsiwa. One of its laborers Mohit Yadav (44 years) died. It is being told that due to lack of safety arrangements in industrial units, workers are dying in accidents every day.
After the death of a worker at Vandana Global, the victim’s family contacted Chhattisgarhia Kranti Sena when the management was reluctant to provide compensation and compensation to the family of the deceased under labor rules. After this, a large number of fighters arrived and tried to talk to the respondents. During this time, on receiving information, a large number of police forces were also present on the spot.
The family members received Rs 17 lakh compensation amount.
Army officials talked to those responsible for the management. Then a compensation amount of Rs 17 lakh was immediately given to the family of the deceased. It was also decided to provide a job to a member of the victim’s family. After this, the victim’s family expressed gratitude to the officials and workers of Chhattisgarhia Kranti Sena for their cooperation.
Let us tell you that every day in some factory in Siltara industrial area, workers are becoming victims of accidents due to lack of safety equipment. In the Siltara industrial area, a poor laborer dies due to the negligence of the industrialist. There are deaths almost every month in the nearby factories, but in the name of action, the concerned department suppresses the matter by filling in the pockets.
Case 01 (Dhankul Company)
On 14 May 2022, in an accident at the Sponge Iron Factory of Siltara, the claw of one hand of a worker was cut off. While on duty his hand got stuck in the machine. Hearing the screams, laborers working nearby came running to the spot and stopped the machine.
After this the laborer tried to escape. Despite this the claw got cut off and separated. He fell unconscious. After that the worker was admitted to the hospital where he died.
Case 2 (Agar Sponge)
On May 12, 2022, Agarwal was picking up iron rolls at Channel Mills Company, Siltara. During this, the crane’s iron weight of about 300 kg fell on Mukesh Prasad. Due to this, his shoulder, back, chest were injured and the bone above the heel of his left foot was broken.
The manager of Agarwal Channel Mills Company had not provided adequate safety equipment to the employees working in the company. The above incident has occurred as a result of this careless manner of carrying out the work.
Case 3 (Agar Sponge)
On May 5, 2022, driver Sanjay Kumar Burman was working in Agarwal Sponge Private Limited Company Phase-2 to lift goods from a loader vehicle. Suddenly, the driver of the loader, while driving the vehicle carelessly and without any information, hit Vijay Kumar Singh who was standing on the side.
Due to this, he fell into the sponge iron lying on the ground with his head, due to which he got injured on his head and died. The above accident occurred due to the work being carried out without providing adequate safety and security equipment.
