Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra will be opened in district hospitals and community health centres: Health Minister Jaiswal

Raipur. Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendras will be opened in all district hospitals and community health centers to provide affordable and quality generic medicines to the people of the state. Apart from this, purchase of necessary equipment in public interest can be done from CGMSC as well as from JAM portal. Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal gave instructions about this to the officials

To smoothly run the health system in the state, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal has today issued necessary instructions to the officials of the department at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan. During this, Jaiswal reviewed the current status of medicines in all the hospitals of the state and gave instructions to ensure availability of medicines in adequate quantity.

While directing senior officials of the department, Jaiswal has said that TB medicines should be made available in all the hospitals of the state and the incomplete construction work of government hospitals should soon be completed through CGMSC.

 

Officials will inspect 3 hospitals every week

Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal has also instructed all the senior officers of the department to inspect 3 hospitals every week to ensure availability of better health facilities in the state. The Health Minister has directed the departmental officers to ensure 100 percent benefit to the patients under Ayushman Bharat Yojana and Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Health Assistance Scheme.

 

Initiative to open All India Ayurveda Institute

Jaiswal has said that people’s interest towards Ayurveda has increased in the state, keeping in mind the interests of the patients, an initiative will be taken to open All India Ayurveda Institute in Raipur and a proposal for this will also be sent to the Central Government. Jaiswal has talked about promoting schemes like innovation schemes, drone delivery to increase health facilities, so that even remote areas can get the benefit of quick and excellent health facilities.

 

Additional Chief Secretary of Health Department Manoj Pingua, Special Secretary Chandan Kumar, Director Health Services Rituraj Raghuvanshi, Managing Director of National Health Mission Jagdish Sonkar, Managing Director of AYUSH Suiffat Ara and Managing Director of CGMSC Padmini Bhoi were present in the meeting.
