Bemetara. A major accident was averted this afternoon in Bemetara district of Chhattisgarh, where a bus full of passengers collided with a truck carrying gas cylinders near village Adar. There was a lot of commotion on the spot. 24 people were injured in the accident, who are being treated at the Community Health Center Nandghat. The condition of four of them is said to be critical. This incident is from Nandghat police station area.
According to the information, the bus was going from Mungeli to Nandghat. Meanwhile, while trying to save a scooter rider, the driver lost control of the bus and the bus collided with a truck loaded with gas cylinders. It was fortunate that the speed of the bus was not very high at the time of the accident and even after such a strong collision with the truck loaded with gas cylinders, it did not catch fire, otherwise a major accident could have happened.
