This is the reason why the demand for this gulal and color is coming from the district as well as the neighboring districts. At the same time, self-employment is also becoming available to women sitting at home.
Women of Jaymata Di group of Dogarpali Gram Panchayat of Mahasamund district are also engaged in making herbal gulal. Member of the group Mrs. Ambika Sahu said that last year women made 50 kg herbal gulal in Holi. Which has been in great demand. He said that packets of herbal gulal of Rs.10, Rs.20 and Rs.50 were made. This time the target is to make more herbal gulal. He told that spinach, lalbhaji, turmeric. She is doing the work of making herbal gulal from herbs, herbs and flowers. Green leaves of beetroot, turmeric, mango and guava are also processed along with rose, marigold, ink flower.
The women told that about Rs 150 is being spent in making one kg of herbal gulal. They use spinach, beetroot, vermilion etc. to make Gulal. The use of this gulal will not harm the skin in any way. That’s why the people of the area are also showing interest in it. It is our endeavor to make people understand the benefits of herbal gulal so that people adopt it. Anyway, this product is cheaper than the gulal coming from outside the country etc. In such a situation, he is sure that people will like it. He told that the group has also started the business of renting tents and chairs etc. recently.
