Mahasamund: The women of the group are getting economic prosperity from the poultry distribution scheme

BPL selected under Rural Backyard Poultry Scheme by the Department of Livestock Development to encourage poultry farming There is a provision to provide the amount of Dadwa and Dadwa for poultry farming to the beneficiaries of the family. In this episode, 13 backyard poultry units were distributed under this scheme in Model Gauthan village Kona of Mahasamund development block and 13 in village Soram . Under this scheme, women have shown interest in household chores as well as poultry farming. Due to which they are getting financially prosperous. Livestock development officials said that under the government’s backyard poultry farming scheme, chickens are being provided to rural women for poultry farming. With which they are making extra profit. He informed that in addition to self-help group women operating in Gothan, women are being given poultry distribution by training them on individual level regarding poultry farming and maintenance.
Members of Agriculture Standing Committee Smt. Ashwani Dewan and Sarpanch Mr. Santosh Jangde of Mukesh , Sitaram , Uday , Dehu , Bodharam Kanwar of 13 Scheduled Tribes category of Hatho Village Soram, Raju , Setram , Govardhan Gond and Mr. Anant , and Mrs. Kondibai , Mrs. Parmin , Mr. Ganesharam , Mr. Sampatlal Satnami of the Scheduled Caste category were benefited from this scheme. Under this scheme, 45 colored chicks and 18 kg poultry food is provided to each beneficiary for 28 days without gender discrimination . Dr. Under the guidance of Dharamdas Jharia Kamarajaha Khan , Rakhi Poddar , RR Dewan Assistant Veterinary Field Officer and Kishore Dewan Animal Attendant completed the distribution work.
