Mahasamund 05 June 2020. In three separate cases, FIR was registered against 07 people against the people who unauthorizedly entered the quarantine center and went out of quarantine center and broke the quarantine rules. Has been registered Subdivisional magistrate of Saraipali subdivision, Mr. Kunal Dudawat said that the first case is of village Santpali under Basna block where the accused person
On 15 May 2020, the village returned from Mumbai in Santpali and was kept at the Quarantine Center. During the period of quarantine by the accused, one day, after hanging the wall, went to his friend in the near village and consumed alcohol. Taking cognizance of the case on the report of Senior Taxation Officer Janpad Panchayat Basna, Police Station Saraipali has registered a case under section 34, 188, 269, 270 of Indian Penal Code and taken it into consideration.
The second case is of Bhusel Gram Panchayat under Basna block where the son of the accused 02 persons came back from other state and was kept in the Government Higher Primary School Quarantine Center. During the quarantine period, the accused persons entered the quarantine center unofficially and met the son. A few days after the meeting, on 31 May 2020, the son’s report was found to be Corona positive when it was learned that the accused had unofficially entered the quarantine center. Taking cognizance of the report of Senior Taxation Officer, Janpad Panchayat Basna, the Police Station Settlement has registered a case under Section 188,269,270, Pandemic Act Section 03 of the Indian Penal Code and taken into consideration.
The third case is of Jalkot gram panchayat under Basna block where the accused 01 person had returned from other state and was kept in quarantine at the Government Anganwadi Center. During the quarantine period, at the call of the accused person, he was unofficially entered and met at the quarantine center by 02 other friends (co-operatives). A few days after the meeting, on 31 May 2020, the report of the accused returned from another state was found to be Corona positive. It was then learned that the accused had entered the Quarantine Center unofficially. Taking cognizance of the report of the Senior Taxation Officer Janpad Panchayat Basna, the Police Station Settlement has registered a case under Section 188,269,270, Pandemic Act Section 3 of the Indian Penal Code and taken into consideration.
Significantly, the Indian Penal Code. Under Section 188, there is a provision of 06 months jail for violation of the order duly issued by the government servant. Under Section 269, irresponsible work done to spread a disease can lead to a jail term of six months or a fine or both. Under Section 270, doing fatal or harmful work to spread a fatal disease can be punished with imprisonment for two years or with fine or both. Keeping in mind the danger of infection of corona virus, it is forbidden to go out of the quarantine center during the quarantine period and unauthorized entry of any outsider under the instructions of the government.
