Mahasamund 14 December 2021. Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana , National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM) by the Municipality Mahasamund in Collector Jandarshan, 5 lakh 10 thousand for self-employment to two women self-help groups to reduce poverty and promote livelihood in the urban area. Hand over the check for the amount of Rs. Handed over a check of Rs 3 lakh 70 thousand to Pawan Mahila Self Help Group and Rs 1 lakh 40 thousand to Padma Mahila Self Help Group . Similarly, in personal loan, Aarti Sainik and Chandrashekhar Beldar were handed over a check of one lakh rupees each to start an economic livelihood. Women of Pawan Self Help Group will make clay idols and other types of materials with this amount. On this occasion, Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat Shri S. Alok, Additional Collector Shri O.P. Kosria , deputy collector Dr. Neha Kapoor , Ms. Neha wolf , Municipal Officer Ashish Tiwari , bank manager were present.
The objective of the National Urban Livelihoods Mission is to provide training and credit to the poor people living in cities to get better facilities as well as employment. To provide employment to these people through skill training and placement. Apart from this, training is given to the members of self-help groups to be formed under social activity and institutional development and in the scheme, loans and grants are provided for self-employment by linking people with banks.
Agriculture , social welfare ,The livestock department , health department distributed the materials to the beneficiaries under the beneficiary oriented scheme. Minikits were handed over to the farmers by the Agriculture Department , and hearing machines (ear phones) were handed over to the elderly women by the Social Welfare Department. The beneficiaries were very happy after getting the material. People from far and wide met the collector with applications related to their various problems. The collector took the applications and gave full assurance of their disposal within the time-limit.
