Mahasamund 19 December 2020. Action has been taken against two people illegally storing paddy by Tehsildar Moolchand Chopra. About 49 katta illegal paddy were recovered from them. Penalty proceedings were done under the Mandi Act. Naib Tehsildar Sarvinder Devendra Netam and Suraj Bachhor were present during the action taken.
Tehsidars were informed that some middle paddy licenses are holding more paddy storage than the limit. On the basis of strong information, 37 katta from Sahu Traders shop in village Bhoring and 22 katta from Jhamman grocery shop in Ram Acholi were confiscated. Illegal storage was found.
Today, under the Pithora tehsil of Mahasamund district, market employees led by Mandi Secretary Girdhari Agarwal, taking action under the Mandi Act, seized 70 bags of paddy in the village Tarekela when stock of Shankar Lal Nayak was found more than the prescribed quantity is. Whose standard weight is 28 quintals. The documents were not maintained properly by the retailer and in excess of their capacity, the excess quantity was seized and action was taken under the Mandi Act. It is to be known that the purchase of paddy in Chhattisgarh has started from December 1 . Mahasamund district being the border district of the state, there is a possibility of illegal paddy transport from other states. Constant monitoring of illegal paddy transport and illegal paddy storage is being done under the guidance of Collector Shri Karthikeya Goyal by forming a joint flying squad of Tehsildar , Station Incharge , Food Inspector in the district . Investigations have also been made to stop illegal paddy transport on villages etc. located on the Odisha border. The officers concerned are closely monitoring and inspecting the blocks.
