Mahakumbh is coming… bring caution with you’, why did the Police Commissionerate say this in a post?

Let us tell you that special surveillance cameras will be installed at all the concerned railway stations from the security point of view during Maha Kumbh. These special cameras will have PTZ and bullet cameras, with the help of which the suspects will be monitored. For this, the records of criminals will be fed through software, so that these cameras will immediately alert the railway administration when a suspect appears.

How many cameras will be installed?

Work is in progress to install 140 cameras at Prayagraj station, 110 at Phaphamau and 42 at Prayagraj Ghat. Colour coding of Phaphamau and Prayagraj Ghat stations is being done so that the modern railway station can match the existence of Maha Kumbh.

DGP Prashant Kumar has instructed all policemen to perform their duties with caution. The DGP said that inputs are being received that criminals and terrorists may enter the Maha Kumbh Mela in the guise of sadhus and Naga sadhus. Therefore, the police has also changed its plan and now policemen will be deployed with Naga sadhus and other saints in their own attire, while at other places also police personnel will keep patrolling in the guise of sadhus.
