Mahadev Satta App case: EOW presented 4 thousand pages of challan, the accused had connection with Dubai

Raipur. The EOW today presented a challan in the special court of Raipur against the four accused arrested in Chhattisgarh’s much talked about Mahadev online betting app case. A challan of 4 thousand pages has been presented against the accused Sahdev Singh Yadav, Bharat Jyoti alias Bhaskar, Vishwajit Rai Chaudhary and Atul Singh. It is being told that the accused had a Dubai connection, where the money earned from the panels was transferred through hawala.

In fact, EOW has arrested a total of 4 accused in Mahadev Book online betting case crime number-06/2024. Sections 120B, 420, 467, 468 471 and 201, sections 7 and 7A of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended Prevention of Corruption Act 2018), sections 4, 7, 8 and 11 of Chhattisgarh Gambling (Prohibition) Act, 2022 and section 4A of Public Gambling Act, 1867 (as amended Public Gambling (M.P. Amendment) Act, 1976) have been registered against Sahdev Singh Yadav, Bharatjyoti alias Guru alias Bhaskar, Vishwajit Rai Choudhary and Atul Singh. Today, a supplementary charge sheet has been presented against all four in the Special Court Raipur.

Let us tell you that the Bureau’s team had raided the call centers (OTP centers) of Mahadev Book operating in the states of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh. Along with this, the accused Bharat Jyoti, Atul Singh and Vishwajit Rai Chaudhary were arrested and thousands of fake SIM cards, hundreds of mobiles, laptops were seized from their possession. The WhatsApp head office of these mobile numbers was operated from Dubai. The accused also arranged for fake corporate bank accounts for the account group of Mahadev Book, in which the money earned from the panels was transferred and sent to Dubai through hawala. After investigation, a challan was presented against the accused today.
