Raipur. After the results of 11 Lok Sabha seats of Chhattisgarh, there is a lot of discussion about how much lead the ministers of the Sai government had in the assembly seats. There is also a discussion about what is the reason for the crushing defeat of BJP from Korba Lok Sabha seat? Assembly seats of two ministers of the current Sai government come in this Lok Sabha. BJP had put all its strength on Korba seat. Despite this, this was the only seat in the state where the party had to face defeat. BJP had fielded its sharp leader and national vice president Saroj Pandey on this seat. BJP holds six out of the eight assembly seats coming in Korba Lok Sabha. It was believed that the party would benefit in the Lok Sabha on the basis of the percentage of votes received during the assembly elections, but this did not happen. Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal had to face defeat by about five thousand votes from his assembly seat Manendragarh. In terms of lead, the results in the assembly seats of both Deputy CM Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma also did not come as expected. BJP candidate Tokhan Sahu got a lead of just 484 votes from Lormi, while Arun Sao had won the assembly elections from Lormi by more than 49 thousand votes. Similarly, BJP candidate Santosh Pandey, who won from Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha seat, was able to make a lead of about ten and a half thousand votes from Kawardha assembly seat. In the assembly elections held six months ago, Vijay Sharma had won the election by a huge margin of 40 thousand votes.

BJP candidate Chintamani Maharaj made a lead of just 17 thousand votes from Bhatgaon assembly seat, which comes under Surguja Lok Sabha seat. Lakshmi Rajwade, who was elected MLA from this seat, is the Women and Child Development Minister in the Sai government. Rajwade had won the assembly elections by a margin of about 43 thousand votes. Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap was also able to give a lead of a narrow margin to Mahesh Kashyap, who won in Bastar Lok Sabha, from his assembly seat Narayanpur. Mahesh Kashyap made a lead of only about four and a half thousand votes from Narayanpur assembly seat. Kedar Kashyap had won the assembly elections by more than 11 thousand votes.

In terms of giving lead to Lok Sabha candidates in their assembly seats, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Finance Minister OP Choudhary, Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam, Industry Minister Lakhan Devangan, Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma and Food Minister Dayaldas Baghel performed better. In the assembly elections, Chief Minister Sai himself won the election by a margin of about 27 thousand votes, but gave a lead of about 40 thousand votes to Raigarh Lok Sabha candidate Radheshyam Rathia from Kunkuri seat.

Finance Minister OP Choudhary got a lead of about 70 thousand from Raigarh assembly. Korba MLA and minister in the government Lakhan Devangan gave a lead of about 50 thousand to the BJP candidate. Balodabazar MLA and minister Tankaram Verma gave a lead of about 60 thousand votes to the BJP candidate. The Food Minister gave a lead of about 38 thousand votes from his assembly Navagarh. Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam, who became MLA from Ramanujganj, gave a lead of about 30 thousand votes. Brijmohan Agrawal, candidate from Raipur Lok Sabha seat, got a lead of 89 thousand votes from his own assembly seat Raipur South. Brijmohan Agrawal broke his own record. He won the assembly election with record votes.
