Lok Sabha Election 2024: Bastar Congress candidate Kawasi Lakhma accused of violating code of conduct, BJP complains to Election Commission

Raipur. BJP has accused former minister and current Bastar Congress candidate Kawasi Lakhma of violating the code of conduct. Regarding this, people of BJP organization reached the Chief Electoral Officer office today and complained against Kawasi Lakhma.

BJP’s Organization General Secretary Sanjay Srivastava said that in the frustration of defeat, Congress is continuously giving statements with distorted mentality, which comes under hate speech. First, Leader of Opposition Charandas Mahant gave controversial statements about the Prime Minister, which does not suit his dignity, now a complaint has been lodged today against the statement given by Bastar Congress candidate and former minister Kawasi Lakhma.

Sanjay Srivastava said that what Kawasi Lakhma said in the local language means Kawasi will win, Narendra Modi will die, in this way inappropriate words have been used for the Prime Minister, efforts are being made to increase violence. Kawasi Lakhma told a local activists and public that the police have been motivated to commit violence by killing them with bows and arrows, against which a complaint has been lodged today and a demand has been made to register an FIR.

BJP Organization General Secretary said that we have demanded that the candidate who talks about inciting violence and repeatedly violates the code of conduct should not be allowed to contest elections. Election campaigning is being done by Kawasi Lakhma, which should be stopped so that fair elections can be held.

He said that today a memorandum has been submitted to the Chief Electoral Officer regarding these demands and a demand has been made to take immediate action. The Chief Electoral Officer has assured that action will be taken.
