In fact, a crime has been registered in UP against Anwar Dhebar and other accused on the charge of making fake holograms. Two days ago, UP STF took Anwar Dhebar on a production warrant in this case. UP Police brought Dhebar to Meerut and presented him in the court today. After presenting him in the court, UP STF did not ask for police remand. During this time, the court has sent him to jail on 10 days judicial custody. Now Anwar Dhebar will be produced in the court again on July 1.
Know what is hologram case
In July 2023, the ED deputy director had lodged an FIR at the Kasna police station in Noida in the fake hologram case. On May 3, the UP STF arrested Vidhu Gupta, owner of Prism Holography Security Films Pvt Ltd. During interrogation, Gupta had named Anwar and Arunpati.
Allegations and irregularities
According to the FIR, the Excise Department of Chhattisgarh illegally awarded the tender to Prism Holography Security Films Pvt Ltd. The tender conditions were modified in connivance with the owners of the company and the tender was illegally allotted. In return, commission was taken and duplicate holograms were supplied to the Chhattisgarh active gang.

After getting the tender, Vidhu Gupta supplied duplicate holograms on the instructions of Arun Pati Tripathi, MD of Chhattisgarh State Marketing Corporation Limited. The gang members used to paste the holograms on the bottles of illegal liquor and deliver them to the shops with fake transit passes. Officers and employees of the Excise Department of 15 districts of Chhattisgarh were involved in this work.
