Button mushroom cultivation in Korea district with the technical support of Krishi Vigyan Kendra under the guidance of Collector Shri Rathore
Korea 26 March 2021. Button mushroom was cultivated by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Korea district to make farmers self-reliant and connected with livelihood during the Corona period. For this, technical training of button mushroom was given to the farmers and the cultivation of button mushroom was done by scientific method on the field of 5 farmers experimentally by Krishi Vigyan Kendra .
Senior Scientist and Head Dr. Krishi Vigyan Kendra R S. Rajput told that in the year 2020-2021 , about 607 kg of 50 quintal compost . Production of button mushroom received. Button mushroom is available in local markets for Rs 200 to 250 . Per kg At the rate of Rs. 1 lakh 21 thousand to Rs. 1.50 lakh, the farmers were sold at the rate of Rs. Earned up to Rs. He said that it cost about 50 to 55 thousand to make 50 quintal compost . 45 in addition to the button mushroom produce by Mr. Annu, a farmer of village-cher , development block-BaikunthpurThousand to 50 thousand rupees. Key compost was prepared and sold. 40-50 thousand rupees by Mrs. Anju, a female farmer of Chirmiri , Vikaskhand-Manendragarh , Haldi Bari . Button Mushroom was sold. Similarly , by selling Ankur , Prabodh and Shrimati Bundkunwar, button mushrooms were made a means of livelihood. Button mushroom is in great demand in local markets in Korea district. Because they are tasty to eat and their storage capacity is higher than other mushrooms. Button mushrooms were earlier sourced from other states. Now easily available in Korea district only. In future, the button mushroom will be added to the markets by adding value. KVK scientist Vijay Kumar told that white button mushroom is cultivated in cold weather. In the district of Korea, from October to March, button mushrooms can be cultivated. 2 crops of button mushroom can be easily taken , for this , 15 to 20 cm. Temperature and 80 to 85Percent moisture is required. It is very important to have technical knowledge for white button mushroom. Special type of compost has to be prepared for button mushrooms. It takes 28 to 30 days to make compost , the cycle of button mushroom is 90 to 120 days , besides it can be cultivated in a controlled room throughout the year. 12 to 15 kg with one quintal compost . Yield is obtained.
