Korba 07 February 2021. The Chhattisgarh State Scheduled Tribes Commission team reached Barpani today to meet the family suffering from the killing of three hill Korvas of Lemru region. Mr. Nitin Potai , Member, led by Vice-President Ms. Rajkumari Diwan ,The team of Singh Uike took complete information about the incident from the victim’s family and asked the administration and police officials about the facts in this regard including the family members. The members of the commission also inquired into the action taken by the administration so far on this sad massacre. During this time, the State Tribal Commission Deputy Chairman, Ms. Rajkumari Dewan expressed her deepest condolences to the victim’s family and all paid their tributes to the three deceased and prayed to God for their soul’s peace. The members of the commission supported the victim’s family and said that in this hour of grief, the entire administration and administration are with them. Under no circumstances will the accused, who carried out this sequence of events, be spared and action will be taken to punish them severely for this heinous act. The State Scheduled Tribes Commission team led by Ms. Dewan scheduled the victim family in Chhattisgarh50 percent amount of four lakh 12 thousand 500 rupees was also handed over. The remaining amount will be given to the family after the police present the challan in the court. Mishra , Police Officer Shri S. s. Patel , Assistant Research Officer Mr. S. K. Bhuwal , Mr. Sandeep Netam , Mr. Jaisingh Raj , Ms. Pammi Dewan , Sarpanch Mr. Bandhan Singh Kanwar ,Deputy Sarpanch Shri Parameshwar Singh and a large number of villagers were also present.

Ms. Rajkumar Diwan, Deputy Chairman of the State Scheduled Tribes Commission, inquired from the victims family members about the assistance rendered by the administration so far after the incident. Commission member Shri Nitin Potai said that most of the hill Korvas live and live in the homes or fields of other people. Shri Potai said that the hill Korvas, who live far away houses in Barpani, should be given work under the Mahatma Gandhi National Employment Guarantee Act to make temporary access routes to reach their homes easily. He also recommended to deepen the already built dabri near the houses and also allot it to the fishery of the hill Korvas. Along with this, the members of the commission also recommended to provide permanent means of livelihood to the hill Korwas by grouping the lands they got from forest rights lease by grouping them with fencing and solar powered tube wells etc. for irrigation.
