On the demand of the villagers, more than one thousand employment oriented work will be sanctioned in the MNREGA, hand pumps for drinking water and work
plan for irrigation somewhere.
Korba 04 March 2020. On the initiative of Collector Smt. Kiran Kaushal, the problems and demands of the people have been largely resolved in the diagnostic camps set up in the rural areas of Korba district from February 8 to February 13 . Government schemes in Nidaan camps have brought positive changes in the lives of many people by providing benefits to the people. Out of the applications received in the Nidhan camps, only one thousand eligible beneficiaries have been sanctioned social security pension simultaneously in only two development blocks, Kartala and Korba. Collector Smt. Kiran Kaushal had instructed the officials before organizing the camps that small documents or actions should be completed at the camp site itself on the day of the camp and people should be given the benefit of government schemes on the same day as possible. On this direction, the Panchayat Secretaries ,The field staff of all the departments including the Patwaris worked to benefit the eligible beneficiaries from the schemes related to their respective departments. Social security pension , disability pension , widow or abandonment pension have been sanctioned to 395 eligible beneficiaries in Kartala development block and 541 beneficiaries in Korba development block . From this month all these beneficiaries will start getting pension benefits. Along with this, a large number of people in diagnosis camps had also demanded employment-oriented work under MGNREGA in Gram Panchayats, after which one thousand 010 works have been approved by the District Panchayat simultaneously after testing .
After the Corona period, the administration reached villages to know the problems and demands of the people on the initiative of Collector Smt. Kiran Kaushal in Korba district. Through this, 36 camps were established. Diagnosis camps were organized in the district from February 8 to February 13 . From February 8 to February 12 , one cluster level camp was organized in all the development blocks and on February 13 , one block level camp was organized in all the development blocks simultaneously. In these camps, the problems related to the general public’s revenue related problems such as electricity , water , education , roads , health, etc. were resolved at the earliest possible opportunity. From creating new ration cards to adding names ,The work of name-cutting also took place in these camps with promptness. Notations of eligible beneficiaries of social security pensions , work to send to the approval set Pension Case was also completed on the same day in these camps. Now the dismantling camps will start soon to inform about the action taken on the applications received in the diagnosis camps and the solutions made.
After getting the information at the Nidhan Camp, solar energy based irrigation scheme has also been approved for irrigation to the farmers in Balagaon of Salihabhata Gram Panchayat of Podi-above-mentioned development block. The work of this scheme has also started at a preliminary stage. This solar energy based irrigation scheme to be built on the River Tann has 50 farms for farming in about 30 hectares of area adjoining the river.More farmers will start getting irrigation facilities in the coming days. Health check-ups were done in the diagnostic camps with the screening of the sick. For a long time, people were benefited by completing formalities on the spot for the necessary documents and certificates, which could not be made for small reasons. According to the information received so far, with the creation of disability certificate of six persons with disabilities, immediate tricycles have also been made available to four disabled persons. So far, 35 eligible beneficiaries have been approved social security pension out of the applications received in Pali development block . During the Nidhan camps in Korba tehsil, with the release of 147 Kisan books by the Revenue Department, 19 cases of Foti Nomination , five undisputed Nomination cases have been settled on the spot. In Korba Tehsil onlyCaste certificate has also been issued to 22 students. Applications were also received from many villages regarding the problem of drinking water in Nidhan Camps. The Public Health Engineering Department has examined and approved bore mining for installation of new hand pumps at 60 places and 27 deteriorated hand pumps have been improved to provide clean drinking water. Now 38 beneficiaries from poultry farming , goat rearing ,Will be linked to local employment oriented activities like facilitating. Government grants have been approved for these activities under departmental schemes to the beneficiaries. Immediate loan has also been approved through Nidhan Camp on submission of the application by the beneficiary willing to do textile business in the Podi-overhead block.
In Nidhan camps, people had also demanded to remove names from ration cards , add and make new cards on priority. After scrutiny of the applications received in the camps, the names of 93 people have been cut from ration cards. Names of 27 people have been added to ration cards and new ration cards of 21 beneficiaries have also been made. Now all of them will start getting ration from this month also.
