Korba 18 February 2021. Animal care and cow sanctuary will be established for the care and protection of animals in the district. Animal Mukti Dham will also be established to dispose of dead animals’ bodies in a lawful and non-polluting manner. In this regard, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Cow Service Commission Rajeshree Dr. Mahant Ramsundar Das took a meeting of District Animal Cruelty Prevention Committee. In the meeting held in the collectorate assembly room, Dr. Ramsunder Das said that Godhan Nyaya Yojana and Gauthan Yojana are one of the ambitious schemes of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel. The state government is working with a resolve to develop cows and cattle. The government is making all efforts for cow protection and cow promotion. He said that the works being done in respect of animal protection and promotion in the Gothans of Chhattisgarh are also being appreciated abroad. Animal care will be established for better care of animals and treatment of diseases. Event in, Animals injured in the accident can be treated and cared for. In this regard, he asked the Deputy Director Livestock Development to identify the land plot in the district. In the meeting, he obtained information regarding illegal transport of animals through vehicles and he took strict action against illegal transporters of animals and directed them to go to the concerned vehicle. During this meeting, District Panchayat President Mrs. Shivkala Kanwar , District Panchayat member Mr. Ganraj Singh Kanwar , Additional Superintendent of Police Mr. Kirtan Rathore , Deputy Collector Mr. Bharosa Ram Thakur , Deputy Director Veterinary Dr. Sp Singh and members of the Animal Welfare Prevention Committee were present.
Information about Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and Chhattisgarh Agriculture Animal Protection was given through a computer-based power point presentation. Along with this, information about the work done by the committee was also given. Rajeshree Dr. Ramsundar Das said that a meeting of the Committee for the Prevention of Animal Accreditation should be held every three months. He said that the registration of bird-selling shops should be ensured by compulsory and banning of sale of restricted types of birds should be banned. The Chairman of the State Cow Service Commission said that the cow sanctuary will be established in the district by the government for the conservation and promotion of cattle money. For this they have at least 50Instructions were given to the officers of the district administration to identify the acreage. He talked positively about the Gaushala and Gowthans with the members of the committee and said to cooperate as much as possible on behalf of the Commission. He said that public awareness plays an important role in preventing animal cruelty. People should be made aware for this. In the meeting, the committee members spoke of effective steps to check and take strict action against the incidents of cow smuggling and illegal animal transport in the district. In the meeting, the committee members suggested to plan the vacant government land in the district for the production of veterinary units and green fodder. The Chairman of the Gau Seva Commission said that transportation of animals and poultry with pain and suffering is a punishable offense. He said that the poultry is transported by motor cycle by hanging upside down. In this regard, he explained to the transporter at least three times. Explanation
Cow Service Commission Chairman Rajeshree Dr. Ramsundar Das instructed to make people aware about the prevention of animal cruelty and distribute the awareness related templates in the Gram Sabha meetings. Along with this, he said that the Mobile Vehicle Exhibition should be organized in the urban areas. He directed the school education authorities that essay competition should also be organized to make children aware of animals. He said that under the ambitious Narva , Garuva , Ghuruva , Bari scheme of the state government, a large number of gothanas have been constructed in the state for conservation and promotion of animal wealth. Animal accidents have decreased due to the establishment of Gothan.
