Korba 17 April 2021. In the recently started Balaji Kovid Hospital, new beds containing 20 to 25 oxygen will be installed in the next two-three days. Along with this, treatment facility for serious patients suffering from 70 to 75 corona will be developed in this hospital. Serious corona infects will be treated on priority in the district’s oldest and largest ESIC district Kovid Hospital. Patients who have been cured from critical condition to normal condition by treatment in the hospital will be admitted to Covide Hospital in Cepet for further care and treatment so that other serious patients can be admitted to ESIC Kovid Hospital for speedy treatment. In view of the fast growing corona infection in Korba district, Collector Smt. Kiran Kaushal inspected and reviewed all the ten hospitals of Corona operated in the district today through video conferencing. During this period, Mr. Kundan Kumar, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Panchayat, Additional District Magistrate Shri S. Jayawardhan, CMHO Dr. B. B. Bode, Nodal Officer and Deputy Collector Mr. Ashish Dewangan and in-charge doctors of all hospitals attended the meeting through video conferencing.
In order to deal with the growing corona infection and to provide better treatment to the patients, in this important meeting, Collector Smt. Kaushal made a detailed review of the available resources and methods of treatment in Kovid Hospitals. He sought information from doctors in charge of all hospitals, from doctors to para medical staff for the treatment of patients. Mrs Kaushal also inquired about the availability of medicines in hospitals and PPE kits etc. for prevention of corona infection. He did a hospital-wise review on hospitals ranging from donning-doffing to bio-medical waste management and dead body management. The collector also inquired about the number of oxygen-rich beds out of the total beds available in hospitals. Smt. Kaushal instructed the doctors in charge to make separate arrangements for availability of oxygen and refilling of empty cylinders in all hospitals on time. They all

Kaushal directed CMHO Dr. Dr. Kaushal to start the work of installing Oxygen Pipeline at the Covid Care Hospital in Cepet at the earliest and increase the number of Oxygen cylinders for the treatment of patients at present. Given to Bode. Collector collected oxygen, medicines, doctors for treatment of about 700 patients in Seapat Kovid Care Hospital in the coming days. After evaluating all the arrangements, para medical staff, etc., directed the officers to arrange them at the earliest. The Collector instructed the Balco Hospital management to ensure a provision of 50 oxygen-bedded beds for treatment of Kovid patients in Balco Hospital in the next two-three days. He also asked to immediately submit the action plan for arranging non-invasive ventilators powered by electricity for patients in Balaji Kovid Hospital. In view of the increasing number of patients in Balaji Hospital, Mrs Kaushal directed to provide 50 jumbo and 40 small additional oxygen cylinders.
Collector expressed displeasure over the arrangements of CSEB West, CETI Gevra and Srishti Hospital, strict instructions to complete all preparations in two days – During the meeting, the collector treated the corona patients at CSEB West, CETI Gevra and Srishti Hospital through video conferencing Observed arrangements developed for. Mrs Kaushal expressed her deepest displeasure with the hospital management for not strictly following the guidelines and norms of half-incomplete preparations and treatment of Kovid patients in these three hospitals. Smt. Kaushal instructed the medical officers of these three hospitals to complete all necessary arrangements for the treatment of patients in the next two days. He is CMHO Dr. Bode was also sent to the district level inspection team after two days and asked to get the hospitals inspected. Smt. Kaushal instructed the doctors and para medical staff of these hospitals to provide special training in respect of line of treatment prescribed for operation of Kovid Hospital and treatment of patients.
