Collector said – In case of Kisan Bhai paddy purchase, pay no heed to any rumors, paddy will be purchased from all the registered farmers.
Kawardha, 12 January 2021. Kabirdham district has consistently maintained its position at the top in terms of peaceful and smooth procurement of paddy from farmers on support price in the Kharif marketing year 2020-21. Since the beginning of paddy procurement in the district, 88 percent farmers have purchased paddy on support price. A total of 1 lakh 385 farmers of the district have registered to sell paddy in the Kharif marketing year 2020-21 for paddy procurement in Kabirdham district. The total registered area is 1 lakh 8 thousand 764 hectares. From the beginning of paddy procurement till date (as on January 11), 88 thousand 690 farmers of the district have sold 3267940 quintal paddy on support price. In this context, 88 thousand hectare of paddy has been purchased from farmers on support price so far in the district. The total value of paddy sold by farmers is Rs 614 crore. Paddy has highest percentage of registered area of farmers in the state Kabirdham occupies the first place. Collector Mr. Ramesh Kumar Sharma said that the registered farmer brothers of the district did not get into any kind of confusion in the matter of paddy purchase. Paddy will be procured from all the registered farmers of the district.
There are 64090 registered farmers up to 2.5 acres in Kabirdham district. Out of which 55469 farmers have sold all their paddy in the committee in one go. He only needed to come to the committee to sell paddy. Out of 24878 registered farmers with 2.5 acres to 5 acres of land in the district, 22700 farmers have sold paddy. Thus, out of the total registered 88968 small / marginal farmers holding 5 acres of land in the district, 78169 farmers have sold their paddy, which constitutes 88 percent of the total small farmers. Medium / long registered farmers holding more than 5 acres of land, 10521 farmers out of 11743 have sold their paddy. This year, new registration of 11325 hectares of land has been registered by 16682 farmers for sale of paddy. Out of total registered farmers in the district, 4477 farmers have sold paddy more than once.
Paddy uptake increases, so far 1040127 quintal paddy procurement centers have been lifted
Paddy Procurement District Nodal Officer and Diptylekat Shri Sandeep Singh Thakur informed that there has been a spurt in paddy harvesting from 94 paddy procurement centers operating in the district to two collection centers in the district. To date, 379197 quintal paddy has been stored in a total of two Markfed collection centers in the district. A total of 660930 quintal paddy has been picked up from the procurement centers through delivery orders by the rice millers of the district. Thus, a total of 1040127 quintal paddy has been taken up from the paddy procurement centers of the district. A total of 94 committees are working for paddy procurement in the district. As of January 11, so far the paddy procurement work has not stopped in any committee except in special circumstances. Paddy procurement work is being done continuously by arranging alternative land for weighing in committees with less space.
