Complainant Pooja Malu lodged an FIR in Devendra Nagar police station that she along with her family had gone to a clinic in Jawahar Nagar on MG Road on the evening of January 24. After this, she reached Tiktok Gem Zone located in Sector One of Devendra Nagar with her children in her Activa. She parked her car outside and went inside the shop with the children. The thief pretended to talk on the phone.
It is seen in the CCTV footage that Pooja is parking her car and going inside at 6.14 pm. As soon as he entered the shop, a person immediately came near the car. He pretended to be talking on the phone and stood up leaning against the seat. After this, the thief very cleverly stuck the master key in the trunk and started trying to open it. Within 40 seconds the bag along with it disappeared.
As soon as the trunk was opened, the thief immediately took out the bag kept inside the car. Then he fled from there. When the victim woman went to the shop to take out the bag from the car to pay, the bag was not present there. He searched around for the bag but could not find it. After which the whole matter reached the police station.
There were 7 gold rings and silver jewelery
The victim woman told the police that 7 pieces of gold and silver rings were kept in her bag. Apart from this, a mobile phone was also kept in the bag. Also, Rs 16,000 in cash and two credit cards were also present. Devendra Nagar police has registered an FIR in the case and started searching for the thief.
