Instructions to make proposal for Gharaunda.
Jashpurnagar 13 July 2020. Collector Shri Mahadev Kavre today took a review meeting of the Social Welfare Department in Collector Hall and inquired about the facilities provided to the disabled. On this occasion, Mrs. Suchita Lakra, Deputy Director, Social Welfare Department, Rita Agarwal, Chairperson of Disabled Services Organization, Bajrang Gupta, Member, Officers of Health Department and other officers were present.
The Collector has instructed the disabled people of the district to make them skillful by training them under skill development. The social welfare officer has been instructed to make proposals from the DMF so that they can be trained. Smt. Suchita Lakra informed that UDID card of about 6 thousand PwDs has been issued in the district. At the same time, they are being benefited from the schemes of governance. He also told the need to make gharaunda to live for the disabled persons of the district, the collector instructed to submit a proposal through RES.
He has instructed the PwDs to provide loan facility for opening of shops like Tricycle, Motorized cycle, Baisakhi, Hearing aids. Tricycles, loans for grocery stores, tractors, etc. have been provided to about 76 PwDs in the district. In addition, 51 Divyangjans have been given grants benefiting from the schemes operated under Social Welfare Department. In the meeting, Chairperson of Disabled Services Organization, Rita Aggarwal urged for the differently abled to be insured under Health Insurance Scheme and also to provide nearby facility in buses. The Collector has instructed the Social Welfare Officer to provide information about the PwD for this so that they can be issued a pass through the Transport Department. He has asked to provide employment to the disabled by providing bulb repairing, small shops and connecting them with employment. Also, the PwD, who need treatment, has been instructed to provide treatment facility through the Health Department.
