The sacred soil of Shivrinarayan was handed over to the tourism chariot
, about 425 motorcycles from Janjgir-Champa district departed the rally,
Janjgir-Champa 17 December 2020. On successful completion of the 2-year tenure of the State Government, the Tourism Chariot and Marathon Bike Rally was organized by the Department of Tourism and Culture, Government of Chhattisgarh. Bike Rally and Tourist Chariot arrived late night on 16 December in Janjgir-Champa district. Rajeshree Dr. Mahant Ramsunder Das, Chairman of the State Cow Service Commission, gave a grand welcome to the tourism chariot and bike rally. After a night’s rest, the bike rally and tourism chariot were flagged off from the Shivrinarayan fair venue this morning via Mahanadi bridge to Baloda Bazar district. From here, a bike rally and chariot will be sent to Chandkuri (District Raipur) where it will be concluded.

Tourist chariot and bike rally were welcomed with flowers near Shivrinarayan Mahanadi Bridge, the border of the district. Dr. Mahant duly worshiped the idol of Lord Rama, Lakshmana, Sita, installed on the tourism chariot, and handed over the sacred soil of Shivrinarayan to the tourism chariot by the Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Mahant and Collector Mr. Yashwant Kumar.
