Janjgir-Champa: National Agricultural Development Scheme: Ramcharan gets Jamunapari breed goat free, income increases

Janjgir-Champa 23 December 2020. Under the National Agricultural Development Scheme, cattle rearers are being financially prosperous under various schemes. Under the schemes, subsidies are provided to farmers who produce milk, goat rearing, poultry and fisheries.
According to the information received from the Livestock Development Department, Mr. Ramcharan Patel, a resident of village Karnod in Bamnidih block of Janjgir-Champa district, has received an income of Rs. 70 thousand every year from the goat rearing business. Jamunapari male goat was given free of cost to Shri Ramcharan Patel under National Agricultural Development Scheme by the Livestock Development Department. At that time they had a total of 20 native goats. The breed improved with the Jamunapari breed goat. This led to a total of 79 goats of advanced breed. Of which, breeding is 3 male goats, 40 female goats. Of which – 22 have been given children and 38 were lambs. Mr. Ramcharan earned about 70 thousand rupees in this year from this business. Ramcharan’s guidance by the Livestock Development Department, Routine vaccination and action is administered anthelmintic. Inspired by Shri Ramcharan, goat rearing is being done by 15 cattle ranchers in village Karanod. This scheme of the Livestock Development Department has encouraged the cattle owners.
