Women groups will get special training
Collector Dr. Singh said that under the campaign, women self-help groups will be trained about the importance of water conservation. In this campaign, all the sub-engineers of the irrigation department and technical assistants of NREGA will work as master trainers. These master trainers will go to the villages and train the women groups and prepare Jal Vahini sisters.
Water awareness rally and cleanliness drive
Under the campaign, water awareness rallies will be taken out and programs will be organized to clean the water sources located in the panchayats. People will be made aware of the ways to conserve rainwater. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr. Avinash Mishra and District Panchayat CEO Mr. Vishwadeep were also present in the meeting.
Special attention on panchayats with low water level
Under the campaign, special attention will be given to those panchayats where the water level is very low and where more water recharge is required. Members of women self-help groups will spread awareness about water conservation in these panchayats and will play an active role in water conservation works.
Thus, through “Nari Shakti se Jal Shakti” campaign, the importance of water conservation will be widely propagated in the district, which will not only improve the water level but will also empower the role of women in the society.
