Jagdalpur: Women groups got employment opportunities under National Rural Livelihood Mission

Financial assistance amounting to Rs 129 crore 46 lakh 91 thousand in the form of bank linkage to the groups of Bastar district in two years.

Jagdalpur 20 December 2020. During the completion of two years of the state government, under the National Rural Livelihood Mission in Bastar district, the work of economic development of women groups is being done by linking them with livelihood activity. According to the intention of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the women of the district were given employment opportunities through self-help groups to make them financially strong.

Women group is being done as a sustainable agricultural based livelihood activity in 400 villages of 7 development blocks of Bastar district through Qatar Vidhi, Shrividhi, Saag vegetable farming, Kitchen garden through organic fertilizers so that the vegetable can be used by each family It is sold in the market by use and receives income of two to 12 thousand per month to the family. Similarly, Chandrika Thakur of village Chitlur told that through the Maa Lakshmi self-help group, Chanlink fencing poles are manufactured and sold to Gram Panchayat, School Education Department and other private individuals.
