Jagdalpur, 21 December 2020. Development of infrastructure is necessary for other economic activities in the area. Areas that are lacking in other facilities because of lack of bridges in the river-drains are also deprived of government schemes of governance. Development of means of transport is necessary to reach governance in such areas. One such area is Gomka Nalla in the middle of Cherakur-Banspani village located at the end of Bastar development block. In which a bridge made of wood was used by the villagers for movement. Based on the demand of the villagers, the administration gave responsibility to the Chhattisgarh Rural Road Development Agency to undertake the construction of the said road and culvert. Rural Road Development Agency has constructed 6.00 m in Gomka drain with an amount of 60 lakhs. G3 span bridge has been constructed.
Before the construction of the road and culvert, the wooden bridge was constructed and used to operate the traffic by the villagers. But due to excessive water flow in the drain during the rainy season, the traffic was interrupted and the villagers had to work hard for other necessary tasks. Presently, due to the construction of a bridge in Gomka Nala in the middle of Cherakur Banspani road, the villagers are getting basic facilities related to hospital, school, hot market, Aganbadi, fair price shop etc.
