At present, efforts are being made on a war footing to prevent the spread of the worldwide corona virus (BTP-19). A sample of suspected patients of the district was sent for investigation, according to the report of Nodal Officer IDSP, District Bastar, from Ramaiya Ward No. 17 of Municipal Corporation Jagdalpur, so far, a total of 72 persons were found to have positive test reports Due to the possibility of excessive infection of the corona virus, Jagdalpur Municipal Corporation Area Status Ramaiya Ward A17 is declared as a Content Zone. This includes the area from Shulabh toilets in the north to Baldev State in the south to Hikmipara Chowk to Anupama Talkies Chowk in the east to Anupama Talkies Chowk to Dalpat Sagar Shulabh toilets in the west and from Hikmipara to Baldev State in the west.
In order to maintain the system according to the government’s guideline in the Containment Zone, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Mr. GR Markam has been given the responsibility of supervision. There will be only one gateway for entry or exit in the Containment Zone, wherein the police officer posted will register the details of all the persons traveling for the supply of medical emergency and essential items, ensuring physical distance. All the shops under the Containment Zone, Offices and other commercial establishments will remain completely closed till further orders. Supply of essential goods will be ensured at reasonable rates through home delivery in the Containment Zone by the Officer-in-Charge. Individuals involved in the supply of essential commodities will be able to enter the Containment Zone, ensuring physical distancing and sanitization. Any other person coming out of or entering the container zone will be completely banned. Along with the supply of essential commodities, the responsibility of sanitation of the area has been entrusted to the Municipal Corporation.
There will be a complete ban on the movement of all types of vehicles under the Containment Zone. For any reason other than health reasons, the exit of the Containment Zone or house will be prohibited. In the Containment Zone, the responsibility of strictly following the lockdown has been entrusted to the Bodhghat police station in-charge. The district medical and health officer will ensure necessary arrangements such as contact tracing, health monitoring and testing of samples, etc. in the relevant area.
