Jagdalpur, 16 September 2020. Under the Chief Minister’s Urban Functional Literacy Program, training by e-educators in e-literacy centers is made familiar to the underprivileged sections of computer, mobile, tech or all other digital technologies and they are informed about their correct use. Along with digital literacy, the program also included personality development, good parenthood, self-defense, financial literacy, diverse literacy, electoral literacy, skill development, values of life and urban duty.
Internet banking in the form of digital literacy, mobile banking, searing of train reservation documents, petium, Google Pay and online payment through internet and how various forms of payment are made safely to the testers – Signing is being made. This one month training is completely free by the government. On passing it an e-literate certificate is awarded through chips. 02 centers have been sanctioned under the Chief Minister’s Urban Literacy Program in Bastar district, first of which is in Municipal Corporation Jagdalpur area and second in Nagar Panchayat Bastar Development Block Bastar. So far 511 learners have been made e-literate in the district.
Ms. Gomti Behera, a resident of Pathraguda has become e-literate from the Chief Minister’s Urban Functional Literacy Program e-literacy center Municipal Corporation Jagdalpur. Gomti told that he has studied till 12th standard. The Chief Minister has become aware of all types of digital literacy through e-literacy center by registering himself in the Urban Functional Literacy Program. In this program, along with skill development, basic knowledge of personality development, time management, legal literacy, computer operating system were taught. Previously I was working for online data entry in e-Shakti women self-help group, and today I am working for data entry in forest department.
