has made many provisions in the new budget to further strengthen this strength of Chhattisgarh.

After taking oath on December 13, CM Vishnudev Sai, on December 25, on the occasion of Good Governance Day, the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, fulfilling Modi’s guarantee, transferred an amount of Rs 3716 crore as bonus for two years of outstanding paddy to the accounts of more than 12 lakh farmers. During his Jashpur visit on March 12, Chief Minister Sai had announced to provide the support price and the difference amount of Rs 3100 per quintal to the farmers under the Agriculture Unnati Yojana in accordance with Modi’s guarantee. In the Kharif marketing year 2023-24, 144.92 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased from 24.72 lakh farmers at the rate of 21 quintals per acre and Rs 3100 per quintal.

Keeping agriculture as a priority in the budget of the Chhattisgarh government for the financial year 2024-25, the budget of the Agriculture Department has been increased by 33 percent and many innovative provisions have been made. To make agriculture beneficial for farmers, along with good productivity of crops, management, harvest management and processing technology are also of great importance in agricultural business. Sai government came as a boon for farmers

Vishnudev Sai government of Chhattisgarh has really come as a boon for the farmers. Vishnudev’s government had announced to buy paddy from farmers at the rate of Rs 3,100 per quintal as per the election promise. To fulfill this promise, the government is giving the farmers a lump sum amount of Rs 917 as bonus after buying paddy at MSP..
By implementing the guarantee of Prime Minister Modi in Chhattisgarh, 21 quintals of paddy were purchased from farmers at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal.. Better and adequate arrangements were made at all the purchase centers so that farmers do not face any problem in selling paddy. are repeatedly expressing their gratitude to CM Sai.. CM Sai had said that “This year, farmers in the state have sold a record 147 lakh metric tonnes of paddy. More than 24 lakh farmers have contributed to filling the rice bowl of Chhattisgarh.”

Increasing farmers’ income is the government’s priority

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai believes that modernizing farming and increasing the income of farmers is the priority of the Chhattisgarh government. From time to time, he
has called upon farmers to engage in fisheries, animal husbandry and horticultural crop production along with paddy cultivation to increase their income. Addressing a gathering of farmers, CM Sai said that as per our promise, we paid the price of Rs 3100 per quintal of paddy and purchased 21 quintals of paddy per acre. Last year, 145 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was purchased. About Rs 49 thousand crore has been transferred to the accounts of farmers through paddy purchase at the support price and the procurement price announced by the state government and the bonus due for two years.

Paddy procurement will start from November 14

He further said that in view of the good harvest in the current Kharif season, the best possible arrangements will be made in the state for purchasing paddy at the support price. This year, paddy procurement will begin from November 14. This year too, record paddy procurement is expected. The effect of the farmer-friendly policies of the government is that farmers of all areas of Chhattisgarh are increasing their income, due to which their families are rapidly progressing on the path of development.
