Raipur. Balco Medical Center chairperson Jyoti Agarwal participated in the State Council meeting of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Along with this, the doctors of Balco Medical Center discussed about raising awareness about cancer in the society and advance treatment to the members of CII. Jyoti Agarwal, president of Balco Medical Center, which is a unit of Vedanta Medical Research Foundation, urged policy-makers and industrialists to work towards making cancer care accessible to all sections of the society. He explained how Balco Medical Center aims to be synonymous with quality and world class cancer care in Central India, and how the center provides right diagnosis and accurate treatment at the right time to every patient. Thereby reducing the financial stress of patients without compromising on cancer treatment. World renowned Medical Oncologist Dr. Bhawna Sirohi, Medical Director of Balco Medical Center, while sharing her experience of 25 years said that the facility available abroad for treatment of serious diseases like cancer is also available in Chhattisgarh today. Now there is no need to go out of state for treatment. He said that today medical science has become so advanced that the symptoms of cancer are recognized in the early stages. Cancer can be completely cured by getting regular medical check-up. If the cancer has spread, the doctor can help reduce the effect of the disease, so do not ignore the symptoms and get regular check-ups done. Dr. Sirohi also told about the BMC Cancer Screening Program.

Umesh Chitlanjia, chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry, Chhattisgarh State Council, also said that there is a fear in the society regarding cancer, which needs to be worked together to overcome with the help of awareness lectures.
