Raipur. State Congress President Deepak Baij has written a letter to Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai regarding the death of three Baiga tribals in Nagdabra village of Kawardha. He has demanded a judicial inquiry into this matter. Deepak Baij said in the letter, three Baiga tribals have died under suspicious circumstances. The family members have serious allegations against the police administration. Baiga tribal is a specially protected tribe. Baiga is the adopted son of the tribal president. Due to the seriousness of the matter, a judicial inquiry should be conducted. Actually, three Baiga tribals of the same family had died in a fire in a hut. On receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot, established a route and started investigation. According to the information received from Kukdur police station, Budhram father Bhop Singh 35, Hirmatin Bai husband Budhram 32 years and their eight year old son Jonhu died due to fire in their hut due to unknown reasons last night in Nagadabra colony under Gram Panchayat Mathpur. It is being told that yesterday all three of them had gone to a Chhathi program organized at a relative’s house, from where they returned at around 12 o’clock in the night.

When the villagers saw this scene this morning, they informed the Kukdur police about the incident. The police reached the spot and inspected the incident site and sent the bodies for post-mortem. After seeing a gas cylinder and a stove near the dead bodies at the site of the incident, prima facie it appears to be an accident due to a fire in a gas cylinder. At present the police is investigating this entire matter.
