An accused who stole 40 bikes in Raipur has been arrested by the police on Tuesday. This accused is a B-Tech engineer, who had stolen bikes from different areas. After which he used it as a bike taxi and left it when the petrol ran out.

Kotwali police said that the name of the accused is Rahul Verma, who is 31 years old and a resident of Kharora police station area. 40 bikes have also been recovered at the instance of the accused. The cost of all two-wheelers is said to be more than Rs 15 lakh.

The accused knew that he would be caught for selling the stolen vehicle. Because of which he did not steal and sell the bike. Rather, he used to leave it in an abandoned area. To save money on petrol, then another bike was stolen.

Accused Rahul Verma is a vicious thief. He used to drop the ride from one place to another on the stolen bike. After this, when the petrol of the bike ran out, he used to leave it in an abandoned condition and used to target other bikes.
