Under the Narwa, Garuva, Ghurwa au Bari scheme and MGNREGA land development program, farmers of collective farms started self-entrepreneurship and started cultivating Shankarakand and Lemon grass. A total of 6 lakh 65 thousand sweet potato cuttings have been supplied to the horticulture department from Indira Gandhi Agricultural University Raipur and collective fences of farmers, in lieu of which a total amount of Rs 11 lakh 63 thousand 750 is paid to the farmers of the collective farm, Parliamentary Secretary Smt. Similarly, about 50 liters of aromatic oil has been extracted from Lemon Grass so far and a total amount of rupees one lakh 59 thousand 450 has been provided to the horticulture department for 2,12,600 Lemon Grass Slips to the farmers of Lai and Dudhania. In addition, 43 thousand sweet potato cuttings have been provided to Ambikapur Horticulture Department from the collective fence of Dudhania and Umjhar, the amount of which will be provided to 75 thousand 250 community garden farmers.
