Administration team reached Mohan, closed sand ghat, broke temporary road from JCB

Raipur. The district administration took action against the continuous illegal sand extraction in village Mohan of Palari development block and closed the rate ghat. Also, regarding the complaint of illegal sand mining, MLA Sandeep Sahu informed the District Collector through phone to close the illegal sand ghat. Taking cognizance of the complaint, Collector KL Chauhan took immediate action.

The administration team led by SDM reached the spot to investigate the illegal sand mining going on in Mohan Ghat, where a temporary path was found made by sand inside Mahanadi, which was cleared by the villagers, Sarpanch, Panch, Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar, Secretary, Patwari. JCB was called and demolished in the presence of other officers and employees.

 

Sarpanch told that the work of extracting sand from the said illegal ghat is being done by Court Mine and some villagers of village Boda and Mohan are promoting and protecting this work. A bridge and road have been constructed to remove sand from the river. 9 Trip Highways have also been found dumped on the banks of the river, which were handed over to the Sarpanch. Besides, the SDM has also issued a notice to the Sarpanch, Deputy Sarpanch and Secretary, Patwari, seeking their reply. This action was taken under the leadership of Palari SDM Shyama Patel. During this, Tehsildar Devendra Netam and other officers and employees were present.
