High Court’s new Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha took charge

The new Chief Justice of the High Court Ramesh Sinha took charge at 10.15 am today. During this, an ovation took place in which all the judges, judicial officers, advocate general and advocates were present.

Please tell that he has replaced Justice Arup Kumar Goswami who retired this month. Meanwhile, Justice Gautam Bhaduri was handling the charge of Acting Chief Justice. Justice Sinha was administered the oath by Governor Vishwabhushan Harichandan in Raipur on Thursday.

 

On reaching Bilaspur yesterday after taking oath, he was received by the judges, advocate general and judicial officers at the High Court residential complex.

 

Let us tell you that Justice Sinha, born on September 5, 1964, obtained his bachelor’s degree in 1990 from Allahabad University and started practice in 1990. He was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Allahabad High Court on 21 November 2011 and was serving as a permanent Judge there since 6 August 2013.
