Raipur. Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal has given a big statement in the matter of supply of reagents and equipment by Mokshit Corporation. He said that more than required supply has been made. Order has been given without budget. A committee of IAS level officers will investigate. Action will be taken as per the report received after the investigation. Today a review meeting was held between the Health Department and the CAG team. Health Director, Mission Director, CGMSC MD were present in the meeting with all the documents related to the case. Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said that after the observation audit, CAG has now started the investigation. About 400 crores of liability is pending. Payment has been stopped.

Let us tell you that Principal Accountant IAS Yashwant Kumar of the Indian Accounts and Audit Department had written a letter to Additional Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Pingya regarding the scam of Rs 660 crore. When the audit team scrutinized the documents of the financial year 2022-24 and 2023-24 regarding the supply of medicines and equipment of CGMSC, it was found that purchases worth Rs 660 crore were made from the company without budget allocation.

It has been found in the audit that in order to consume the chemicals and equipment purchased in excess of the requirement in two years, rules and regulations were also circumvented. The chemicals and machines were supplied even to the hospitals where they were not needed. Supplies were made to 776 primary health centers of the state, out of which more than 350 primary health centers are such in which no technical, manpower and storage facilities were available.
