Raipur. In the process of development and expansion of aircraft facilities in the state of Chhattisgarh, an MOU has been signed between the state government and the air service provider Alliance Air Company. On the other hand, 3-C category license has been issued for Darima Airport of Ambikapur.
An MoU was signed between the state government and the air service provider Alliance Air Company for regular commercial air service operation by 70 seater aircraft from Bilaspur Airport to Delhi and Kolkata and Jagdalpur-Jabalpur-Delhi sector.
Plats will become regular by March last
In the MOU, a provision has been included to provide financial assistance to the airline company by the state government to compensate for the loss of flight cost on the basis of cost revenue model in case of non-availability of passengers in the airline flights. Let us tell you that the flights of Delhi – Bilaspur – Delhi, Kolkata – Bilaspur – Kolkata and Delhi – Jabalpur – Jagdalpur – Jabalpur – Delhi were inaugurated by Alliance Air Company on 12.03.2024.
According to the summer schedule of Alliance Air Company, these airlines will become regular from the last week of March.
Ambikapur Airport gets 3-C category license
Here, the much awaited license for Ambikapur Airport has been issued today by the Director General of Civil Aviation, Government of India. Chhattisgarh state government has developed Ambikapur Airport in 3-C VFR category to expand air services in the state and an application for license was submitted to the Director General of Civil Aviation in December 2022. With the licensing of Ambikapur Airport, the state now has 03 licensed airports including Bilaspur, Jagdalpur under the RCS scheme.
3 – After obtaining the license of C VFR category, now the operation of air services through 72 seater aircraft can be started from Ambikapur Airport. Efforts are already being made by the state government to start air service operations from Ambikapur Airport to Raipur, Bilaspur, Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi. With the commencement of air service from the airport, tourism and commercial activities in the northern region of the state will get a boost and the development of the region will also gain momentum.
