In village Dabnai of Gariaband district, a woman along with her son killed her husband. The mother and son beat the old man to death with stones and sticks. The wife says that she was extremely upset with her husband’s suspicious nature. The matter is of Devbhog police station area.
According to the information, Gangeshwar Sonwani (60 years) of village Dabnai lived with his wife Lakshmi Bai, son Girish Sonwani and daughter. Wife Lakshmi is an Anganwadi worker. Everything was going well but Gangeshwar had doubts about his wife’s behavior. There were frequent fights between the two regarding this matter. During this time Gangeshwar used to beat Lakshmi mercilessly. The case is also going on in the court. There was a fight before the murder.
On Friday night, once again there was a fierce dispute between husband and wife over character doubts. After this Gangeshwar went to the culvert near Shiva temple. Wife Lakshmi Bai and son Girish also reached there. Troubled by the daily disputes, Lakshmi along with her son attacked Gangeshwar with a stone. Along with this, he was also beaten severely with a stick. Both of them kept beating him until he fell on the ground bleeding. The old man was found soaked in blood.
The mother and son left leaving Gangeshwar in an unconscious state. The villagers saw the old man lying under the culvert in a pool of blood. He informed the village Kotwar. On information from Kotwar, police reached the spot and sent seriously injured Gangeshwar to Devbhog Hospital. However, upon investigation, doctors declared him dead.

Devbhog police station in-charge Gautam Gawde said that the old man’s head was torn and he died due to excessive bleeding. When the police detained the deceased’s wife Lakshmi Bai and son Girish Sonwani on charges of murder and interrogated them strictly, they confessed to their crime.

Even on Friday night, he was beating her badly, after which Sabr lost her patience and along with her son, she killed her husband.
